We were very pleased to meet many of you at
the NPN fall fair on October 10th, and we've been
working hard behind the scenes to continue
bringing this vision to life. In this
newsletter we have lots of news to
share.

WE NOW HAVE A
LOCATION
|
|
CFS
is excited to announce that we now have a
location. We will be leasing the former St.
Henry's school, at 6325 N.
Hoyne. St. Henry's is a beautiful school
building with large classrooms, lots of natural
light and the use of a gym. The classrooms
have hardwood floors and nice woodwork, and one
room is carpeted, which we may use as a community
room.
Classroom (not our
furniture)
The site is on a quiet
tree lined street adjacent to Misericordia, and
has lots of enclosed outdoor space, a large
parking lot, and bike parking. It is less
than 1 mile from West Ridge, Rogers Park and
Edgewater, 2 miles from Andersonville, Lincoln
Square, Ravenswood and Evanston, 3 miles from
Albany Park and North Park, and about 5 miles from
Lincoln Park. It is right on the #155 Devon
bus line, which connects to the Red Line at
Loyola, as well as the Western, California,
Lincoln and Kimball buses.
St.
Henry's is looking forward to again having a
school in the building, and is working with us to
make that happen. Feel free to drive by the
location, but please don't bother the staff of St.
Henry's. The best way to get there is to
turn west into the Miseracordia driveway from Ridge,
between Devon and Thome, take it until the drive
ends at the school.

Our application is now on line, go to the Admissions page for more
information.
Tuition
CFS is expecting our tuition to be
$10,000 per year. We expect to be able to
offer some limited tuition assistance the first
year, as well as a sibling discount. These
will all be finalized by the time acceptances are
sent out in order to help you with your decision
making.

DONATIONS
|
|
As many
of you know, any private school depends on a donor
base in addition to tuition. We continue to
actively seek donations of time, money and
equipment. If you have materials or
furnishings you would like to donate, please
contact us at info@chicagofriendsschool.org so
we can determine if they're appropriate to our
needs. You may make donations of any size
through our web
site or Facebook, please contact us if you
would like to discuss your donation, or would like
to earmark
it. | |
