The Race Institute for K-12 Educators

Thursday, February 29 - Saturday, March 2

The Race Institute is a workshop for K-12 teachers, counselors, and administrators of all races who want to better understand why race matters in schools. It is for educators who want to build their skills and competencies to understand and challenge the racism around them — and in their own heads and hearts.

As schools challenge themselves to build racial proficiency, individual educators often need a space to support their own developing professionalism around race issues.

This is that space.

Facilitators for the February 2024 Race Institute that will hosted at the Chicago Friends School:

  • Toni Graves Williamson
Co-Director of the Race Institute and Director of Equity and Inclusion at Friends Select School
  • Christine Saxman
Racial and social justice facilitator and coach

The registration rate is $995, and a discount rate is available for groups of three or more.

The workshop runs from 9 am to 5 pm each day.
